Buying an apartment in Casares

Almost all apartments in Casares are in Casares Costa, the municipality’s coastal strip. There are two very different settings: complexes on the beachfront or a short walk from the sand, such as Bahía de Casares or Perla de la Bahía, and hillside developments by the Doña Julia golf course or in communities such as Camarate Golf, with open views of the sea and the mountains. Complexes such as Alcazaba Lagoon complete the offer, with the residences of Finca Cortesín at the top of the market.

They tend to be spacious: two- and three-bedroom homes dominate, with around 112 m² of built area and terraces designed for eating outdoors much of the year, mostly in gated communities with gardens and a shared pool. The sea is visible from 113 of them. Most buyers are Europeans who spend long seasons here in search of golf, beach and peace and quiet. Check the real distance to the beach: from many golf complexes you will need the car to reach the sand.

Casares Costa is well connected by the A-7 and the AP-7 motorway: Estepona is about fifteen minutes away, Sotogrande about the same and La Duquesa marina, with its restaurants, around five. Three golf courses are close by —Doña Julia, Casares Costa and Finca Cortesín—, and the white village, with its castle and viewpoints, is about twenty minutes up the hill.
