Buying a villa in Manilva

Villas are scarce in Manilva, where apartments and townhouses dominate, so the offer is concentrated in a few areas. The main one is La Duquesa: in El Hacho and Las Brisas, next to the golf course, and in communities such as Los Hidalgos, established villas —many renovated— sit alongside more recent homes. The rest are spread across the hills with sea views and the hinterland, among vineyards and scrubland, where country estates come with far more land.

When viewing, look at the orientation of the garden, the condition of the pool and roofs, and whether any extensions —enclosed porches, garages turned into rooms— appear in the title deeds and the cadastre (Catastro).

For golfers, Manilva is well placed: La Duquesa golf course is within the municipality, Doña Julia and Finca Cortesín in neighbouring Casares are a few minutes away, and the Sotogrande courses about ten.
